Happy New Year everyone! Time to say goodbye to 2015 along with sparkle beards, the word “bae” and to questions like,”Is the new Star Wars going to be epic?” (spoiler: it is). With these memories, we turn to some of our own Axosoft peeps to find out what they thought of 2015 and what they are looking forward to in 2016. Note: no one was allowed to say, “The next Star Wars.”

Most memorable Axosoft moment of 2015:
I would have to say the Girls in Tech conference, where we launched #ItWasNeverADress for sure! It was inspirational. You know, you always have your own opinion about certain subjects and most of the time you don’t really know how other people think or feel about them. This conference made me understand that other women think like me as well. It was really inspirational to meet other powerful women and develop cool relationships.

Looking forward to at Axosoft in 2016:
I’m definitely looking forward to our company’s growth and adding more people with different skills sets. Also, I’m looking forward to further developing GitKraken and Axosoft products, as well as gaining traction in the market; and of course, meeting revenue goals.

Most memorable Axosoft moment of 2015:
For me it has to be the Super Smash Bros. tournament that we had here. It was cool that our office space allowed for our culture to be embraced that way; investing time to find out what we like and how that applies to our life.

Looking forward to at Axosoft in 2016:
The next Star Wars episode. Oh, Axosoft related, yes, I’m interested in seeing how our new Git client GitKraken comes to fruition. Also, how my new puppy will adjust to my family. I did get a puppy in 2015.

Most memorable Axosoft moment of 2015:
Getting hired; that is very memorable coming from being a software developer where I previously was to the Axosoft culture and atmosphere; it’s a big difference and awesome. I love how Axosoft embraces creativity and really tries to pull great ideas out of each and every employee. Embracing everyone’s creativity and the atmosphere is really important at Axosoft. There’s no real walls separating teams from each other. For example, I can go over and talk to marketing and say, “I have a good idea, what do you think?” and then roll it out. It’s about embracing creativity and overall willingness to make a dent in the world and make a great product.

Looking forward to at Axosoft in 2016:
I love competition and the constant drive to improve our product. I’d love to see some of the additional features we will be rolling out in the following months and be extremely competitive with our competition.

Most memorable Axosoft moment of 2015:
I got to wear a brand new yellow bandana when everyone wore yellow for Seth. Also, there was this one day where everyone could bring your dog to work and there was literally a smorgasbord of puppies here. All the smells….

Looking forward to at Axosoft in 2016:
The unknown really excites me. I’m excited about all the things that are yet to come. Frisbee?, someone just said frisbee. I did complete agile training! I excel at the tunnel and the seesaw; the weaving, not so much.
Now, someone said frisbee a moment ago, where are they?

Most memorable Axosoft moment of 2015:
I really liked singing karaoke at the Christmas party. I sang It’s a Beautiful Day by Michael Bublé. I heard there was karaoke and I was excited; it’s just lots of fun.

Looking forward to at Axosoft in 2016:
I’m really looking forward to my one-year anniversary. Not only are there cool perks at Axosoft when you hit your one-year anniversary– time off and a trip to anywhere in the U.S.–it’s my first one-year anniversary as a software developer; so it really means something to me.

Most memorable Axosoft moment of 2015:
My favorite moment of 2015 was definitely launching GitKraken at GitHub Universe in San Francisco.

Looking forward to at Axosoft in 2016:
In 2016 we will be hitting GitKraken 1.0 official launch! Do I have anything funny to say? Um, I have to think about that.

Most memorable Axosoft moment of 2015:
My most memorable moment of 2015 was returning from San Francisco after launching GitKraken and finding my desk hanging from a rope, floating in the air, with everything wrapped in plastic wrap. I just also happened to be wearing a NASA space suit I had received on my trip in San Francisco, which made the experience even stranger.

Looking forward to at Axosoft in 2016:
In 2016, I’m looking forward to lots of naps. And actualtively (dev technical term), releasing GitKraken.

Most memorable Axosoft moment of 2015:
I’d have to say that launching the #ItWasNeverADress Campaign at Girls in Tech conference and giving a talk about the campaign was definitely the most memorable 2015 moment. Also seeing thousands, and then millions, of people around the world embrace the idea of women needing to be seen, heard and celebrated for the superoes they are was amazing!

Looking forward to at Axosoft in 2016:
I’m looking forward to many more speaking opportunities so that I can bring the cool culture and innovations we are creating within Axosoft out into the world!

Most memorable Axosoft moment of 2015:
I’d have to say, the most memorable moment was being told I am now a product owner and I am late for a meeting that started two minutes ago.

Looking forward to at Axosoft in 2016:
I am looking forward to trying to live up to being a product owner.

Most
memorable Axosoft moment of 2015:
I have two most memorable moments, first, having joined the team was memorable in itself. I’m thrilled to work with such talented people I can call friends. My second memorable moment was standing in front of the entire company giving an Axotalk about being an introvert. The irony. I still have conversations with people about it, I think it’s awesome my message got across.

Looking forward to at Axosoft in 2016:
I’m looking forward to being able to work with more people who I haven’t had the opportunity to work with yet–especially those who work on GitKraken.

Most memorable Axosoft moment of 2015: My greatest memory is when we put on the #ItWasNeverADress STEAM Conference. The room filled with such powerful young women; what a beautiful weekend!

Looking forward to at Axosoft in 2016:
I look forward to continuing to empower the next generation of women in technology and for our new–and totally innovative–tool, GitKraken to officially launch.
